Painting in Europe 
Monet's home in Giverny is a magical place where home and garden blend perfectly and provide endless inspiration.  This was painted after my second trip to the gardens.

The French manage to tuck tiny gardens in the most unlikely places.  I was quite taken with this abundant display.

I love the old buildings in Europe that have seen so much history.  This dowager doorway caught my eye and I enjoyed trying to capture it's various textures as well as a sense of its history.

Ah, Venice.  Is there a more romantic city?  When I saw these flags flying outside our hotel room I got out my paints.
