Rain or shine, Venice will always be one of my favorite cities. This damp day in St. Mark's Square I was attracted by the bright umbrellas that dotted the courtyard.

| While visiting the beautiful (though unfinished) cathedral in Narbonne, France, I glanced out of the darkened room I was in and through a niche in the wall to see this sun-struck view of a portion of the building.

While visiting a friend in the beautiful Italian vilage of Casoli, I was stopped by this breathtaking dispay of beautiful white roses outside of an old stone building. I couldn't wait to paint it as there was also a wonderful pattern of sunshine and shadow.
